Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) affects approximately 110 million women worldwide, significantly impacting their health and quality of life. SPIOMET4HEALTH is at the forefront of developing an innovative treatment for PCOS, aiming to improve the lives of adolescent girls and young women who suffer from this condition.
The SPIOMET4HEALTH Approach
Our project combines three medications—spironolactone, pioglitazone, and metformin—into a single pill. This novel approach targets the root causes of PCOS, normalizing ovulation and hormonal levels. By addressing these underlying issues, we hope to provide a more effective and comprehensive treatment option for women with PCOS.
